The Living Mail System

A player-driven delivery network based on engineering, resources, and real journeys.

Part 1: Building Your Mail Station

To join the mail network, you need a station. It requires three components placed near each other:

  • Container: Chest Any Chest or Barrel. This is your mailbox.
  • Address Sign: Sign A Sign placed directly on or next to the container.
  • Activator (Beehive): Beehive A Beehive within a ~5 block radius. It serves as a home base for your couriers.

Setup Steps:

  1. Place your Chest/Barrel and a Beehive nearby.
  2. Place a Sign on the container and type exactly this on the first line:

World Integration: Once created, your Mail Station will be automatically marked on the live map.

Upon completion, the plugin will automatically convert the sign and assign your station a unique Postal Index.

Part 2: Your Courier (Bee)

Your station's couriers are bees. The system prioritizes using a nearby free-flying bee for delivery. If there are no free bees, one will be dispatched from the Beehive linked to your station. Make sure your beehive is populated!

Part 3: Sending a Parcel

Sending a parcel is a precise, 4-step ritual:

  1. Package: Place the items in a Bundle Bundle for small parcels, or a Shulker Box Shulker Box for large cargo. The delivery cost is the same for both.
  2. Address: Take a piece of Paper Paper and rename it on an Anvil Anvil to the recipient's Postal Index (e.g., C-1122).
  3. Calculate Cost: Place your Bundle Bundle or Shulker Box Shulker Box and the renamed
    Paper Paper     into your station's container. You will immediately receive a chat message with the delivery cost.
  4. Pay & Send: Add the required Emerald Emeralds to the container. Once the Package, Address, and full Payment are present, the Beehive will activate, dispatching a bee to collect your delivery. You can track the courier's real-time flight path on the live map!

Part 4: Tariffs & Express Delivery

The delivery cost depends on the distance to the destination.

  • Base Currency: Emerald Emerald
  • Tariffs:
  • Up to 500 blocks: Free
  • 501 - 2000 blocks: 1Emerald
  • Over 2000 blocks: The price increases by 1Emerald for each subsequent 1000 blocks.

Need it faster? Use Express Delivery!

  • Express Currency: Eye of Ender Eye of Ender.
  • Effect: Increases courier speed by 3x.
  • How to use: Simply add 1 Eye of Ender to the container in addition to the emerald payment.

Part 5: Mechanics & Details

  • Phantom Courier: While on a delivery, your Bee becomes an invulnerable phantom. It flies in a straight line to its destination, passing through any obstacles. It cannot be killed or stuck.
  • Chunk Loading: The courier can travel any distance, even if no players are online along the route. The system will automatically keep the necessary chunks loaded for its flight.
  • Delivery Failure: If the recipient's container is broken or full, the courier will drop the bundle as an item at the destination coordinates. The delivery fee is non-refundable.
  • Dismantling a Station: Breaking any of the three core components (sign, container, or beehive) will permanently dismantle your mail station.
  • Live Map Integration: All registered Mail Stations and active couriers are visible in real-time on map.uwupad.me. You can literally watch your package travel across the world.
